1. What Tallyfold is

Tallyfold is a personal net worth tracking tool with free financial calculators, operated by Elder Yew, based in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using our calculators, you agree to these terms.

2. Not financial advice

Tallyfold is an information and tracking tool. Nothing on this site is financial advice, tax advice, or a personal recommendation.

Our calculators use current UK tax rules and the data you provide to produce estimates. These estimates may not reflect your exact situation. Tax rules change, and individual circumstances vary. Always consult a qualified financial adviser or accountant before making financial decisions based on information from this site.

We make every effort to keep our tax rates and calculations accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee they are error-free.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your account with others. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms or are used for purposes other than personal financial tracking.

4. Your data

You own the financial data you enter into Tallyfold. We do not claim any rights over your data. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page.

5. Accuracy of data you provide

Tallyfold relies on the financial data you enter manually. We do not connect to banks or verify your balances. The accuracy of your net worth tracking, projections, and calculator results depends entirely on the accuracy of the data you provide.

6. Free and paid features

Financial calculators are free to use without an account and will always remain free. Net worth tracking, the dashboard, and all related features are currently free to use with an account.

We may introduce optional paid features in the future. If we do, existing free features will remain free. Any paid features will be clearly marked before purchase.

7. Advertising, affiliate links, and sponsored content

Tallyfold is a free service. To keep it free, we may display advertisements, sponsored content, affiliate links, and financial product information within the application and on calculator pages.

Advertisements and recommendations are shown contextually based on the page or feature you are using. For example, you may see mortgage-related content on the property page, or savings account suggestions on a calculator page. We do not use your personal financial data to target advertisements unless you have given explicit consent.

Where we include affiliate links, we may receive a commission if you click through and take up a product or service. This does not affect the price you pay. Affiliate links and sponsored content will be clearly identified.

We may share aggregated, anonymised data with partners and advertisers. This data cannot be used to identify any individual user. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Availability

We aim to keep Tallyfold available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to take the service offline for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.

We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by the service being temporarily unavailable.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Elder Yew is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Tallyfold. This includes (but is not limited to) financial losses from decisions made based on information displayed by the service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Tallyfold is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Tallyfold for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' data
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the service
• Interfere with the operation of the service

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through the application. Continued use of Tallyfold after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
